Iteras is a software system that collects payments for your subscriptions/memberships on your behalf. However, we are not an “intermediary” for your payments – when your subscribers/members pay, the money goes directly into your account. This means that you must enter into a payment agreement(s) in order to receive payments.
For card payments, there are a number of different acquirers. Depending on which country(ies) you operate in, other payment options may be relevant. Iteras supports most payment methods on the market.
Payment agreements must be in place before invoices can be sent via Iteras. However, we can set up a signup form without payment agreements (in which case an invoice will simply be sent when the payment agreements are ready).
Need multiple payment agreements?
One bank account can be linked to a payment agreement, whether it is an acquiring agreement for card payments or a Betalingsservice creditor agreement for payment slips/automatic collection via Betalingsservice. But what if you have multiple media and want payments deposited into several different accounts? In that case, several business units must be created in Iteras, as each business unit can only have one set of payment agreements attached. Since a business unit is typically understood as a CVR number, and not just a separate product, this choice also means that a subscriber who subscribes to several products cannot receive one invoice containing multiple products. For this reason, it can be an advantage if the media can be operated on the same payment agreement and bank account.
Products under the same business unit cannot have different payment agreements.
Card payments
If you want to accept card payments, you need an acquiring agreement. If you do not already have one, your Iteras consultant can put you in touch with an acquirer.
Note that the acquirer Clearhaus is not suitable for subscription products with a term longer than 3 months.
