Changing banks and Iteras

Updated this week

Businesses occasionally change banks. If you are using Iteras, it’s very important that you notify us before switching banks. This allows us to guide you through the necessary steps to ensure your Iteras payment setup continues to function properly, and so we can check everything after the switch.

Changes with the bank

If you accept payment slips (indbetalingskort), you have an FI number administered by your bank. It is crucial that this number is transferred to the new bank and points to your new subscription account. Equally important is that the new subscription account—and only that account, not any others!—is set up by the new bank to send payment notifications via Betalingsservice. Without this, Iteras won’t receive payment confirmations, which may result in unjustified reminders being sent to your subscribers.

It is also important that no other payment slips are paid into this account. In practice, we recommend that the account is used exclusively for subscriptions.

Changes with betalingsservice

If you accept payment slips—that is, you have a Betalingsservice creditor agreement - you must also update your master data with Betalingsservice. They need to know the new account number to which Betalingsservice payments (the automatic withdrawals) should be sent. This can be done at: https://betalingsservice.dk(note the site is in danish)

You must attach a bank statement from your new bank as documentation when submitting the change to Betalingsservice. This is important, as all of this concerns where your subscription revenue is deposited.

Changes with clearhaus

If you have an acquiring agreement with Clearhaus, you should send a message to their support desk with your agreement number, your old account, and your new account. For both accounts, include SWIFT, IBAN, and the bank name.

Changes with Nets/Teller

You can update your bank account number via this form at Nets. (note the site and form is in danish)

If you haven’t done the above…

If you have already switched banks without informing us and without completing the necessary changes described above, incoming payments will no longer be registered correctly in Iteras. If you have reminders enabled in Iteras, subscribers will receive dunning notices for invoices they’ve already paid—and few things escalate issues faster. You’ll get a flood of emails and phone calls, everyone will be upset—and then we’ll hear from you.

Here’s what to do:

  1. Pause the sending of reminders until steps 2 and 3 below have been completed.

  2. Immediately implement the changes described above.

  3. Submit a digital bank statement to Iteras showing the payments received during the transition but not yet registered in the system. We will take care of importing them.
