Publication calendar

Updated yesterday

In the publication calendar, you can specify which days are publication days, which days should be blocked from changes in distribution, and enter information about the publication’s weight for use in retailer management. It is also possible to create a simple note field or other types of fields if there is a need to store other types of data on the dates.

The information is used solely to control when changes may be made to subscriptions with print publications (and not for calculating the unit price in a subscription period, i.e., the amount to be refunded upon cancellations; nor for periodization).

Each piece of information is linked to the dates in the calendar by using custom fields. A custom field is created for each function for each product. For example, if you publish several newspapers, there will typically be a custom field for publication days, change blocking, and weight for each newspaper.

Setting up custom fields

The custom field is created under “Fields” in the Account menu in the upper right corner. First, enter a title for the field, for example, the product’s name and the field’s function – an example could be “Folkeavisen publication day.”

Then select the function the field should fulfill, and choose the products the field should be associated with.

The field type must be “Yes/No (checkbox).”

Using the fields in the publication calendar

When the custom fields are set up and linked to products, you can see the field or fields’ settings by clicking on a date in the publication calendar.
