Business entity settings

Updated today

The settings for the business entity control the invoicing of your customers. They can be found under the Account menu (in the upper right corner) → Primary settingsBusiness entity

Base information

  • Name: The name of the business unit issuing the invoices. For most organizations, this is the company name.

  • Customer service: Choose which settings are used for communication with customers. Customer Service must be created before the Business Unit can be set up.

  • For both the invoice number series and the credit note number series, you can select the “Standard number series” option. If you want the series to start from a higher number, you can instead add your own by clicking “Add number series” beneath the fields and following the process from there. Please note that it is possible to have different number series per business unit, if desired.

  • Logo: Upload a logo. It will be displayed on email invoices unless overridden by a logo uploaded in the product category. The system resizes the logo to a maximum of 400 × 200 px and stores the scaled version upon first use on an invoice. Check that your logo looks good on both digital and printed invoices.

  • Language: Controls the outward-facing language, i.e., everything directed at subscribers/members. This includes registration forms, self-service, invoices, and service emails.

  • Currency: The currency in which you charge customers.

  • Invoice email addresses: The address from which the system sends invoices.

Company information

  • These details will appear on the issued invoices.

Invoicing and payment

  • Triviality limit for missing amount: Outstanding balances below this limit are automatically written off/credited.

  • Predefined additional invoice lines: For charging customers extra for many different campaigns, e.g., postage or administration fees. Lines created here can easily be retrieved when setting up campaigns, so you don’t have to re-enter the same information multiple times.
