If you use Iteras’ built-in paywall to manage access to content on your website, it is possible to sell IP-based subscriptions (hereafter referred to simply as IP subscriptions). These are subscriptions that automatically grant access through the paywall for anyone located at specific IP addresses.
IP subscriptions can be used to sell access to, for example, libraries, newspaper editorial offices, or businesses.
Technically, the following can be configured:
Individual IP addresses
Individual networks
Interval of IP addresses
Users on slower internet connections may occasionally see the login box briefly before being automatically granted access. This happens because we perform the IP address check before allowing the user in. The alternative would be to show the article first and perform the check afterward, which we consider a worse solution.
